Paul Barrere and Fred Tackett of the legendary alt-country, jam band, Little Feat have unequaled chemistry and an effortlessly acrobatic twang. They first played together on Little Feat’s “Dixie Chicken,” and have since lent their fingers and strings to countless records by the likes of Bonnie Raitt, Bob Dylan, Taj Mahal, Tom Waits, and Carly Simon.
Paul Barrere joined Little Feat in time for their third album, the classic “Dixie Chicken,” and has been with the band ever since. During their brief hiatus in the 1980’s he led the group Chicken Legs featuring Catfish Hodge, and Little Feats Richie Hayward. Multi-instrumentalist Fred Tackett’s guitar, mandolin, and trumpet have helped define Little Feat’s sound since he joined the band in 1987.
